When Heritage Meets Lifestyle

VELA is an establishment born from the desires of young designers to preserve the historical essence of Phuket Old Town and conserve its timeless charm and beauty in the present.

Beneath the charming Sino-European structures, we have discovered that time has left relics and lasting memories. These elements are not hidden, but rather becoming part of the design. Traces of time are not in the sense of deterioration, but in the sense of “transformation” brought about by the evolution of life.

Each column is designed to “leave traces” at the beginning, then gradually reunite, as if representing a life stage that goes through pressure, wounds, or changes before merging into its own perfect happiness.

Classical architecture is combined with new lines, reflecting the “Timeless Shift” concept, the heart of this project. Therefore, we chose the “hourglass” as the core of the concept, and used it as the brand symbol to convey the rhythmic connection between “past, present, and future.”
